Which is better according you : Front-end or Back-end?
Better can mean one or more of below in order of priority: - Fun to do - higher pay - work life balance - Feeling of contributing to company - challenging/easy (whichever you prefer) - future prospects

On my route to my desk, I pass through a frontend, QA, PM and UX person desk and I spit on all of their desks. It’s exhausting.
Not a fan of frontend... but my observation is that it’s being a thing! Today we can see many Principal/Staff SW Engineers specializing in frontend. For example if you search for Staff SWE working at LinkedIn, you’ll see many of them with fewer yoe. The number is way higher comparing to infra.
The backend is usually tighter code and thus more satisfying and exciting when compared to traditional front end coding which can get boring.
Back end people are fucked up as shit, and have a supervisorarity complex cuz they have small
Frontend on product team is very satisfying but stressful
I personally enjoy front-end more coming from full stack. Just find it very satisfying to get the styling to my liking. I also enjoy the creative nature of front-end.
