On my route to my desk, I pass through a frontend, QA, PM and UX person desk and I spit on all of their desks. It’s exhausting.
Not a fan of frontend... but my observation is that it’s being a thing! Today we can see many Principal/Staff SW Engineers specializing in frontend. For example if you search for Staff SWE working at LinkedIn, you’ll see many of them with fewer yoe. The number is way higher comparing to infra.
The backend is usually tighter code and thus more satisfying and exciting when compared to traditional front end coding which can get boring.

I personally enjoy front-end more coming from full stack. Just find it very satisfying to get the styling to my liking. I also enjoy the creative nature of front-end.
