Got offers from both. TC are almost the same, Snap has less base salary but more stock (more risk of course). I like the team at Snap better because they are working on the product. The team at Airbnb is doing infra (personally not so interested in but I like the company though). Which one should I choose? What are the visions for both companies?
I’m pretty high on Airbnb stock, easy choice imo. Snap is only alive because Zuck wants to be able to say that they have competition.
Wrong. Facebook wants us alive because they need a source to copy from.
Airbnb is paper money so yeah
Is it in Seattle? I had much better experience and feeling about Snap after talking to their managers and employees. In addition if you say you like the team more, go with Snap.
Which team within Infra? Do you know? Btw internal team move should be easy as long as you get ME or above for your perf review a year after you join.
I work on infra feel free to ping
+1 happy to chat about infra if you can tell me the specific team
TC and level?
No brainer, Snap. It's liquid and their refreshers are great. Airbnb is an unknown and will most likely fall in an IPO.
Real money.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
