I’m not happy in my current role, but its pretty safe, and work on a project important to the company. I’m in the shadow of my boss and he puts his name on everything. He micro manages and generally doesnt go to bat for me even though he says I’m doing good. I might get a promo, given its highly visible in the company, but not promised. New opportunity within the company, its in a division that is on shaky ground (they might sell it off), but the leader is really good, no BS, well connected, and I think he generally cares. Its bot in the forefront of the company and likely forgotten, but I might have the most to grow. My thought is I could lay down how I could do it and what I need. New leader would have me report to one pf his guys, but will fight hard to give me a promo.
