So online dating never works for me and I want to maximize my chances of just meeting guys naturally in every day life. I keep on hearing people’s crazy “how we met” stories and I heard several now where the couple met sitting next to each other on the plane. I travel a lot domestically but every time I fly first I sit next to an old dude and when I fly economy it’s always a mid aged lady. I’ve never ever sat next to any guys my age ever. 😔 Single guys, where do you sit on the plane? Is there a preference? And if you sit next to a woman your age would you talk to her?
They met in dating apps too. They are lying.
^^^ this. Saying "we met on Tinder" is a sore point in an otherwise perfect love story. The most common euphemism is "we met at a party".
"He had me at, 'so you down 2 smash.'"
An airplane isn't the only place for happenstance encounters. You can try small talk with approachable looking people (alone, not in a rush, etc) anywhere. GL.
On my airline, all business seats have aisle access ;)
Most respectable J has aisle access for every seat. But some are also window seats.
Talking to single women on a plane sounds like a great way of getting charged with sexual harassment.
I mean..if you harass then, then yeah.
Women have double standards... if you are hot it’s flirt, if you are not as per her “standards” you are a pervert
Don't think I've sat next to a cute girl on a plane yet in my life.
I'm a single guy. I've been flying frequently for six years. I had a memorable conversation with a girl just once on an international flight that was 13 hours long. I think conversations on a flight are very rare. Just look around after the plane takes off. Even if people talk it's usually pretty shallow and unmemorable things.
I've sat next to girls around my age a few times and they were pretty to me. But hell no, I wouldn't initiate a convo. That's awkward as hell when you are forced to sit next to someone for hours
Nah I just churn credit cards and sometimes first class is really cheap with points or upgrade!
I know, off topic, but I once sat next to the piano/keyboard guy (not one of the main band members, they apparently fly on private jet) -for the band, U2, flying to London. Really cool chat about music and their industry..... The whole crew was scattered around the cabin

Why are women naked in gym?
"Conspiracy" theory: Airline staff assign seats in certain ways that minimize sexual harassment incidents during the flight.
Don’t most airlines allow you to pick your seat?
Sure and I'm one of those folks who often check in too late to pick seat. Sometimes I also find my seat changed when boarding. Anyways, that was just a theory.
