Which teams have moved to Apple Park? Do certain teams get higher precedence?

I've got an offer from Apple Media Products team and the team is in Infinite Loop campus and have no plans to move into Apple Park.

Which teams have moved to Apple Park? Is there a criteria who gets in the Space Shuttle? are all Eddy's teams are working out of IL campus?

I can understand IS&T and retail full timers getting less precedence to move to the new campus but I thought Internet Servies team is one of the prestigious teams known at Apple.

Not that it matters to my decision in moving forward, but just curious?

Some teams get moved in then later they get moved out to make room for other teams.

For some teams it is better for them to remain at IL or other locations due to proximity to previously built labs or teams that they constantly collaborate with.

Even if you do not work in Apple Park you will still be given badge access to visit.

Also, being outside of Apple Park does not necessarily have a correlation to your team’s importance. Many teams are purposely isolated for security purposes.

AP is iCloud, Siri, OS, SWE, product design, displays, sensors, Operations, silicon, Marcom, some other groups I’m forgetting. There’s a document out there on connectme.

I don't get all the hype about working in AP, I hate it there. Great place to visit, visually amazing but just a pain to get around. God help you if you have to carry a bunch of stuff and I've seen near fist fights over the last bike.

Trying walking in from your car when it's freezing or raining. I'd stay in IL if I had the choice. Easy parking, good food, fast(er) to the highway, faster to meetings or just getting to your desk.

Yeah. Parking definitely sucks. I take a bus 90% of the time. Have been lucky with the rain. No awning to hide under in the transit area.

My team moved into AP in the spring. We’ll be moving out sometime in the next year because there’s not enough room for us to put new people, and we’re growing.

Like I said, we need more space and there’s none to be had in AP.

Isn’t it still under construction and everyone has to use Alves?

Is it? I left before they started construction. How sad

Apple Park is all open space from what i’ve heard. IL and other sites might still be private offices. Be careful what you wish for ;)

Not all open. If your group deals with audio — e.g. Siri — it will have offices, usually shared.
