My company is shit and will only give me the not in production glossy mac monitor. Looking to make a move to a company that will respect my manliness and taste in monitors.
Seriously. ? You an admin. Go buy what you want and use it as a second ffs
Why would I buy it when other companies would pay for it?
You want me to sponsor a company making billions every quarter? What kind of distorted thinking is that? đ
Devs and dev managers at Amazon get 34â curved wide screens or 2 monitors. Standard.
Whereâs the frugality?
Buy at your own money if itâs such a big deal
I bought one, even though my company provides two generic monitors.
I had two monitors and work at a startup. After my company started expanding I actually gave up one for a new hire. Reason? Because as humans we are programmed to only focus on one thing at a time. So technically two monitors can only distract. An effective setup with one monitor will always be more productive for you in the long run than having multiple monitors.
This is a stupid analogy
Clearly you never have to work with 3 programs opened at once so you can't appreciate the ease of having 2 monitors
Honestly, just buy your own monitor man...it ain't all that...
This is probably one of the same guys who make the âcan I do <side jobs|surf porn|cheat> on my work computerâ posts.
Tesla provides 3 if needed.
Oh boy. You guys hiring?
Weâre. I can make a referral. http://tesla.com/careers
Every company. Iâve never had an issue getting 2-4 of the latest greatest monitors didnât matter how small or cheap the company was.
My team goes on a scavenging trip to other floors on moving days/reorgs to grab pc recycle monitors. I think 3 of them have 6 monitors now
