It's so hard to hire in the Bay area. Why is that ? And which top companies are competing for talent ??

There's a shortage of devs willing to put up with the insane taxes and housing costs ... and traffic.
Everyone wants devs who can solve leets. If you can solve enough leets you will have offers. If you can’t you still have some options — but they are more limited.

Startups can’t compete with the kind of TC that FANG is handing out. So they complain the loudest. Funny thing is that they end up hiring interns and new grads in order to bring the price down...and their product end up like garbage. Blind is a great example 👍
Everyone. Software is eating many industries. I’m kind of afraid of what Amazon will look like in 10, 20 years.
