- CareerBuilder JonDoe1Are you implying open borders are somehow comparable to removing the door from your home? I'm sure you're not, because that would be highly illogical.
- That is factually incorrect. As a group illegal immigrants are additive to the economy. Individuals with LESS than a high school education see a roughly 4% or so decrease in wages as a result. everyone else, including every single person on this forum, benefits significantly. SIGNIFICANTLY. Blind won't let me post links but just Google "are illegal immigrants a drain on the economy?" and read all the academic papers that come up. The large majority of economists agree illegal immigration is a net gain, and this is true even if very conservative economists, so it's not a partisan thing. As a specific example, illegal immigrants are estimated to contribute about $15 billion per year to social security but only consume about $1 billion. A substantial benefit to all those boomers who want to kick them out.Jul 11, 20181
- Conservative economists universally say the same thing. But LOL if you think a professor would lose their job for saying that. That's not how academia works. And besides, you don't have to believe them since, you know, they actually publish their work and you can check for yourself
