I been in several companies in the valley. In all is the same. People from India that speaks perfect English decides to speak in Hindi for work related topics. Why this people always hide something?
I always assume that people around me who switch to taking in their native language are talking shit about me.
You're paranoid and have delusion of grandeur. Realize that most people don't care enough about you to ever bother talking shit about you.
Are you American by any chance?
OP - Why do you speak Chinese with your colleagues in a mixed company of non-Chinese people even when you know how to speak English?
Same for Chinese, Russian or any other community.
Yup, we are all speaking unofficial English here.
Umm, Indians talking among themselves in their native language makes them uncivil? That way, all Americans who speak English are uncivil as well, right? Given they English is their native language? Or do you have the delusion of grandeur that anybody not speaking in English is automatically uncivil? š¤
I have the same thing going on in my team. I try to ignore it even though it gets on my nerves sometimes.
I am from India, I too find that annoying
Not every indian language is Hindi. It can also be Telugu or any other Indian language.
seen those shit happens most in indians, sometimes chinese, and irans
I am sure they must be making fun of you. You seems to be like that who Indians will make fun of š
no, I can speak both Hindi and Chinese, but no fucking Persian
Not every Indian does that. I am an Indian and definitely think it's unprofessional to talk in native languages irrespective of their nationality I have seen this with other nationalities too
