Good looking women were picked by rich white men with family money and most such people stayed in Europe while the poorer white people without much in Europe endured the journey by ships across the Atlantic to create new opportunities. Women who followed these men weren’t the prettiest and hence their off springs, and future decedents. Genes and human selection.

Just care less about appearance. US and Canada are all about comfortable living (except LA and NYC), while Europe is way more about appearance. Also, the food quality is better in Europe due to stricter food control.
