I am a startup co-founder. Is there any startup fans here in enterprise/ late stage of startup? Do you wish that you joined your company during EARLIER stage of startup? Are you aspired to join an early/ GREENFIELD opportunity? 3 positions are available: Full Stack Dev, Marketing, Design. Welcome to DM me, thank you. Join “Startup/ greenfield opp” chat.
Worked in start up as well as mid size and large companies. With time I realized, I am more of WLB person. So any size company that can give good wlb and ownership works for me.
Thank you for your comment, well articulated.
Fuck your marketing
Do you mind to help me understand what is wrong with my post?
Really?
I don’t work for startups that pay monopoly money.
Thanks for sharing. High risk high gain.
Where is the waste of time option? Worked in few startups before. Mainly just feature push without thinking about what we r even doing. Zero learning. Just become a code monkey. On top of that 99% of them fail. Better buy lottery if u want to get rich quick and save ur sanity.
Thank you for sharing. That is a good reminder for everyone, but ymmv there are many good startups making great tractions.
This is the realest post in this thread. Heed this advice
Been there, done that, sold the companies. The economics don’t make as much sense as an employee rather than a founder.
I've been there too. Being one of the founders is the only case I'd consider working at a start up ever again.
Never join a startup as an early employee. Always get high salary. If they push you too hard, leave. Ain't nobody got time for wasting time and lowering your mental health eternally.
@ZUCCD why?
Because it's just not worth it. You take all the stresses of founders but for less equity and money. Don't do it. You have little to gain. Join as a founder
Founders(+executives) have all sorts ways to protect their financial interest. Employee get nothing other than all the drama and coolaid. It is like Vegas, fun to visit but you can't live there forever.
@QqLQ41 ymmv
I'ld sign up for marketing tho & obvio the learnings & pay.
