While indeed in terms of quantity they are. And while apparently you cannot say anything bad even it’s true to other monorities, it’s competely ok even politically correct to spit any hateful, discriminative words to chinese.
They’re not? Yes there’s racism and bigotry against Asians in general and Chinese more specifically. There’s also racism or bigotry against other ethnic groups... it’s not zero-sum.
I believe OP is asking why Chinese are not treated as snowflakes - he/she/whatever has already implied racism exists against minorities but some seem to be more special than others to the point where truth is considered offensive.
“Truth”
The democrats defines “minorities” using tax revenues. So even though Latino is the largest ethnicity in CA, they are still a minority.
This is not true, it has nothing to do with tax revenue... While some cities and towns are not majority Caucasian, the US as a whole is.
Chinese are considered minorities. They are not considered “underrepresented minorities” in tech, and SJWs don’t care about them because they are doing fine. Because they are doing fine, it’s also not as extremely politically incorrect to say negative things. Just like it’s slightly more politically correct to say things about white people. Political correctness tries to “protect downtrodden groups”.
Are Chinese doing fine?
No. Among Asians Indian are doing the best. Many Chinese in us work in restaurants, cashier, cleaner, etc
Because black and latinos scream the loudest
In tech? There aren't enough of them to do that.
Sounds like conservatives on Blind need to read up on the history of Chinese people in their cities. At least San Francisco and Seattle.
Rights are not coming from nowhere. You fight you get attentions.
There really is only one way for Asians to get attention. Currently Asians are safely in democrats territory so no attention is given to them. Start voting republican and get them to work for your vote.
Old asians/immigrants do vote Republican. Young Asian men skew liberal but some are conservatives. 99% of young Asian women are liberal. Theres just not enough asians to make a difference in voting. Esp when they clump together in decided states like California.
They need for form a swing vote in swing states like Pa, Oh, Fl and wherever they can.
Asian Americans tend to make much more than caucasion Americans, so they aren't seen as marginalized in the same way that many other races are. In the northeast there have been some issues with Chinese and Asian families as they tend to get into the beat public schools, which is limiting the seats for black and hispanic students in those schools. Asian students twnd to do very well in school, partly because their parents stress how important it is. As cities like NY are trying to find a way to make the schools more diverse, it means that many Asian students may be left out of the high performing schools, even if they did the work to get in.... Which has several Asian groups upset and fighting back. Racism isn't only for specific races, if you rely on stereotypes to judge any race, or just hate an entire race, it's racsim. It doesn't matter if they are marginalized or not. Whites, Asians, and Indians can be victims of racism, but we aren't victims of Systemic Racism, which is a different concept altogether.
You are a very smart person
Edit: this was in response to a comment asking about "races that were lazy or criminal" but it looks like that comment has been deleted. Being a victim of systemic racism doesn't automatically mean you are a good person... You can be a victim of racism and still be a criminal or a bad person. Racism is believing things like "some races aren't hard working." That has nothing to do with race, that's a cultural thing. One of my closest friends is Puerto Rican, and he's one of the hardest working ans most enterprising people that I know... And he complains that many of his cousins have fallen into the culture of just not working and collecting benefits... Some of them are the 3rd generation of not working. That has nothing to do with their race, they made personal choices and are part of a culture that doesn't value work. Just about every race and culture have been slaves at some point, and every race and culture has had it's dark periods... My mother was a refugee from Northern Ireland, where the English enslaved our people for 500 years, and tried to eliminate our language and culture, for example. We grew up poor, but my parents pushed us to work hard, but there is still a poor Irish culture in the US. My brother is in his 5th round of rehab, my sister has been Deported from the UK several times and has no job, my cousins/relatives are either into drugs/weapons trade, are collecting benefits, or are in prison. I (somehow) turned out pretty well... But there's nothing about the Irish race that makes us do that, it's a cultural thing, and many people just fall into laziness and blaming others for their issues. You'll find this with every race/culture... There will be those who are lazy and just want to take, and those who work and make something of themselves.
