Why did you become a Karat interviewer?

Aug 7 12 Comments

For those that dont know, Karat is a company that outsources technical phone screens. Companies like Intuit, Databricks, and Pinterest use them. Seeing a couple experienced engineers at Karat as technical interviewers. What was your reason for making the change? Burnout? Flexible job that pays the bills while you work on your own startup? Passion for interviewing nervous engineers? Being the great prince of the forest in a forest full of star eyed bambis?

Nope. Just two phone interviews. After you’re in you can set your own availability and decide how many you do. I only do a few per month for fun some people do it full time.

Full time not a bad idea I guess, can treat it like Uber, do it whenever you want?

Yep basically like uber but not as real time. You’re paid as a contractor and set your availability in advanced (including max # interviews) and the candidates fill in your schedule. Feel free to pm me if you have more questions happy to share insight.
