Genuine question. What’s US getting out of supporting Israel so vehemently, when it’s trashing all other close allies, at the same time cozying up to it’s adversaries and bad actors of the world?

There’s no Jewish-American lobby, there are pro-Israel lobbies that include apolcalyptic evangelicals (who are probably antisemites to boot).
They are a stable country in the Middle East that has shared interests. We can rely on them. They help combat terrorists organizations over there and countries that want to harm us.

One forgotten reason is that terrorists attacked us on 9/11 specifically because we supported Israel. It’s a western style country in a sea of Hitlerian states that want to create a second Holocaust. Many of Israel’s enemies openly say they want to overtake the country to make it an Islamic state while killing as many Jews as possible

It was only possible with the razing of over 500 Palestinian villages and the ethnic cleansing of nearly 850,000 Christians and Muslim, including over 24 large scale massacres. Read any of the books by the Israeli historians Benny Morris or Ilan Pappe, it’s all well documented.
The US played a key role in the foundation of israel, and US support of Israel has been a constant since 1948. Lots of conservative Jewish people in the US support the pro Israel lobby. Evangelical Christians funnel tons of money and support to pro Israel causes because they believe Jewish control of Israel will bring about the rapture (yes, really. Google it). Israel's government knows US support is key to its continued success, and works to align itself with US interests. Many influential groups from AIPAC to Sinclair Media want the US to keep supporting Israel, and most of the US political establishment (except the progressive wing of the left) is aligned with these groups.
