I see that they are doing well financially and are growing but as compared to FAANG and even when compared to some non faang companies their stock offering is pretty low even though base and benefits are good. I have an interview coming up with both these companies so I heard from my friends that they got ~40k stock from both these companies which seems pretty low. Is there a chance that they give good stock RSU in the future? Thanks YOE: 1 TC:115k
Don’t compare them with faang and you will feel them pretty good
Good point!
We are cheap and stingy. If you think the rsu are bad just wait until you see the yearly base increases.
Are there stock refreshers? Still surprising though as interview is hard and financials are strong maybe seeing all blind FAANG offers as distorted my view of what is considered a good offer Thanks
Oh and i was thinking only our base increases are horrendous...
Work life balance is better but I agree RSU is not as great but refreshes overtime add up
Refreshers aren't the best... But if you work hard and are actually invaluable... You'll get taken care of. I've received 2 critical talent awards in 4 years... First was for 100k, second was 150k.. And that's not including my 70k refreshers per year or my ESPP. Did i mention i was granted this stock at $36 and $57 a share... And we're at $94... You do the math. Word of advice, don't live in a shitty place where property taxes/cost of living is so high.
Thanks for sharing! Agreed about COL but opportunities are here when I am early in career. What other cities would you consider? Austin and Seattle are on my Radar
Which org do you work for ?
The financials of PayPal are definitely good but significantly less than FANG.

How long have you been looking for a job?
Supply and demand, they don't have to. Where dies this notion that all companies should pay above market come from?
True! Not saying the offers are bad I think they are good Just curious why the low RSU :) Thanks for sharing your input
They are okay with not recruiting the best people ?
