Is it cheaper to eat chipotle everyday than buy groceries ?
Every company I've worked for is investing heavily in India and I have friends at many others that are doing the same. People I know who work in India live like fucking kings which would never happen here in the States. I get a decade ago it was different but these days I don't get why the US is any better than getting a good job in India. Curious.
Because America
Guy I worked with was same position as me in India he had 5 cars and 3 houses. I barely can afford one house and one car.
So did you work in India in that position?
Human development index
Grass is always greener on the other side, I think some of them just want to experience the US lifestyle. Companies in India have a very political culture with lots of ass licking too.
I'm talking about the same mutli nationals that operate here and there. Makes no sense to me. You're already there why the struggle to come here
The multinational companies in the us and India have a vastly diff work culture, quality of projects and career growth opportunities
Air quality
Said no one ever
+2
I think it's more about the standard of living in general
Life is easier in US. You mostly get what you pay for and it’s not much crowded, weather is better (at least in SV).
Why my family came over: 1. Avoid casteism 2. Avoid extreme government corruption 3. Infinitely better job opportunities 4. Medical facilities here are much much better 5. Much better quality of life for middle class/upper middle than back there 6. Better education opportunities
This is the first good answer. Surprised you can't get that in modern India
Ok not the medical, though medical facilities might be better here if you don't have insurance you are screwed.
Safer and easier for a woman to live in America.
That's a good point
Should be at the top ⏫
Probably not getting shoved everywhere by hundreds of people.
You obviously haven't worked in NYC
Freedom
From what?
Don’t agree with the freedom part, H1bs are not really free here!
