Ok first of all I know this sounds crazy. For sanitary reasons, I agree it makes sense to wear underwear. But...bear with me for a minute and really consider it: why do we wear clothes when we’re in climate controlled environments all day? What would happen if we stopped wearing clothes? If you’re going to argue that it’s to avoid sexual arousal, consider that’s the same argument for the hijab, which many of us find repressive. In this day and age many of us wear clothes that are form fitting enough to reveal plenty about our bodies and show most of our skin. So why the taboo about nudity? It’s a serious question. I’m not high and not asking for trolls, though I’m sure they will show up.
Why don’t you tell your wife to be naked first. We can than discuss about it.
Don’t have a wife.

You'd have to apply make up to the whole body instead of just the face now.
Interesting question. A few thoughts come to mind 1) there’s convenience to pockets for wallet, badges, etc. 2) it’s nice to hide parts of your body you aren’t super comfortable with. Whether a belly or butt, I’m sure lots of people don’t want it all out there 3) attractiveness is a factor. Showing some of your body but not all of it is more attractive than having it all showing. Even those who have spectacular bodies probably want to cover it up strategically. 4) fashion plays a role here. People like to express themselves and this is a good way to do it
Would add that it’s also a way to display status.
1. It still helps with body thermoregulation even in a climate controlled environment. 2. You actually don’t want to see most of those bodies naked. People cover them to make them look better (or normal).
It’s still cold outside. In NY more so than in California
A few reasons: 1. Climate. Most people wear clothes to cover up themselves when it’s cold. It’s what allowed prehistoric humans to move outside of Africa into colder climates, then everywhere. 2. Fashion. This isn’t stupid. Humans need a way to express themselves, hence clothing, jewelry, etc. (Think about it: jewelry serves no purpose beside adornment) 3. Decency, usually triggered by religious beliefs. In the Genesis, after biting the forbidden apple, Adam and Eve were ashamed of being naked. Also, think of how in some Muslim countries women have to wear headscarves. (I do believe that many times religious precepts come from hygienic/biological reasons, for example wearing underwear)
Can I tell you about Adam and Eve?
Imaginary idiots. They never existed and were created for a mere business purposes. U still believe in them? 😜😀😀😀
There is a vsauce video on why we wear clothes check it out !
Because you wouldn’t want to see 99.99% of the world naked, ever?
