I don't work in Technology but I've been thinking about a switch for a while. My understanding is Netflix is a single product company compared to much larger Amazon, Google, Apple, and maybe Facebook. Why is it placed amongst the top 5 in the tech world? Why not Salesforce or Uber? What am I missing?
$$$ is one aspect... look for their contributions to opensource (which is more compared to FAANG) and read their tech blog. You won't ask this question after that.
Coz stock price and market cap Wall Street came with FAANG and not Silicon Valley.
Ya faang is a finance term for high growth stocks not a tech term for a good tech company
TC and stock growth
Good scaling problem technically, they pay the most, they revolutionized the TV industry. That being said, I personally rate them very low because of how easy it is to get fired
FANG was the term for high growth tech stock. It was not related to what OP mentioned.
Because FAAG is not a politically correct acronym
You are contradicting yourself. On one hand you are questioning Netflix but then suggesting Dropbox 😂
Haha I realised that later, I should remove Dropbox from my suggestion.
Because they have an amazing microservices architecture
Because Albertsons employees watch Netflix
$$$$$
You mean revenue? I don't think that's comparable to other top companies. Do you mean salaries? Is that all that matters?
It’s more than comparable, Netflix brings in 2 billion a MONTH. They pay there Engineers pure cash.
