Why is PGE turning off power?
They already turned off power for the north bay. Except there are only 4mph winds there... I also checked San Mateo and Cupertino weather forecast in the Weather app on iOS.. there is no high winds at all in the forecast (and there hasn’t been, I checked for many days leading up to today). so what is the real reason PGE is turning off power? this high winds story is bullshit

Maybe the fact they have billions in past liabilities afraid of killing scores of people again has something to do with it
They r almost going bankrupt due to wild fires last couple of years. Any major incident will only make it worse so they're playing safe with this BS.
