Go woke, go broke: Google fires 28 employees involved in pro-Hamas protest
I did not understand why people post all their experiences on linkedin. Like education and work experiences. Isnt that confidential? You did not need linkedin to get a job if you have good background. I never used linkedin. People conplain about facebook privacy issues while they post their own private information on linkedin.
It’s okay to share professional info in linked in. What can happen by sharing schools and experience info? Also you can show off your career growth with your friends.
LinkedIn is for networking. Not for show off. With a good profile, you can have few opportunities per week via direct messages that can change your life. You also get to know amazing people in the same domain from other countries. This is my personal opinion. I see only benefits on my side.
OP - do you have a resume? If yes, never apply anywhere. It contains your confidential data.
Apply for jobs with resume != posting resume online where anybody can see it
You realize that you can control who can see your profile. GDPR still applies to LinkedIn.

Good luck getting recruiters to contact you without listing education, or experience.
I agree with you but LinkedIn is good way to get recruiter's attention. So you can say that it is a trade off for getting recruiters attention.
You misunderstood what LinkedIn is for
For showing off?
