If there’s folks who invest as a living. Sorry it’s a dumb question. I know not anyone can invest in hedge fund or another fund or get a planner, but what’s the point of doing all the work yourself versus an index/pre-chosen portfolio? Alternatively, if that’s working better than index or hedge funds, why aren’t you doing it for another people?

- Starbucks / Eng PUxL03For me it was always companies or industries where Im very knowledgeable. So basically I can make a high percentage return with little risk or effort. I still have the index/pre-chosen portfolio. These are more of a supplement / easy wins.
Why not do it for others? The wins are here and there and investing isn’t my passion. Programming is.
