Mark had claimed that it was his company's responsibility to take real measures after the Cambridge Analytica saga. So, why not ban political ads the way Twitter did? https://fortune.com/2019/11/22/facebook-google-twitter-political-ads-policy/
It is not FB's responsibility to police the internet. And banning stuff is very rarely a good solution.
Because $$$
When FB paid a $5B fine you were all screaming how thatās not enough and how thatās nothing on FBās bottom line. Political ads are less than 200M and now your saying that FB just canāt help itself when seeing that boatload of money? Thatās some weak logic right there.
Source?
Because not everybody demands there to be speech police for things that they donāt agree with
Itās not a problem with freedom of speech. Itās a problem with providing technology that allows you to manipulate people who donāt understand the technology and spread targeted lies. Itās dangerous. Until we have a Better Way, Twitter and Google are doing the right thing
Because not everyone needs to be saved by all you white knights and keyboard warriors out there. People can and should make up their own mind as well as build some resilience to politicians lying. Bill Maher said it best, as always: https://youtu.be/OTTeAGfVHsE
I don't know how anyone --who believes in scientific research- allows Bill Maher's flawed logic to influence them. The guy is an arrogant fool.
Ironically, peopleās resilience to MSM and Dems lying is why Trump was elected.
Normal people donāt read twitter and only search on google for directions or gifts. So, they can ban whatever they want, none of which is seen by anyone.
Banning political ads is essentially helping Dems because their ads are cringey af and have no message
