Will Einstein be able to pass FANG interview?

Say we give him a week to go through a ds textbook and a week to go through docs on a Python or java (and he's allowed to forget syntax during interview). Assuming no leetcode practice, just based on those 2 sources, will he?

Chill guys, moving out of IBM soon. But my stance on Amazon remains the same. They need to grow up mentally! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Right, there are some really good teams at IBM.

Why do you assume that interview questions these days are correlated at all with intelligence instead of just rote memorization and pattern matching?

So being astute enough to understand patterns to the point that you identify the theory of relativity isnโ€™t good enough?

If you are asking whether theoretical physics is in the same universe of skills as identifying and writing down a solution to an obvious dynamic programming problem for the 14th time, then no.

Pattern matching is a huge component of intelligence.

Hnsb54 sounds like the type of interviewer who stumps people on purpose then goes into the bathroom to jerk off to the thought.

  • He will get really pissed off at this nonsensical ego show, and will give FANG interviewers a tight slap ๐Ÿ‘‹ on the face.

He would have failed miserably. But not because he is not smarter than an average fanger. Fang interviews do not assess smartness.

I see einstein as someone who dwells on a problem for hours and days and finally reach to an ingenious solution. Fang interviews are more of either you already know the answer OR think on your feet, apply what you know to a problem from different angles with added pressure of not looking like a dumbass in 45 m for 5 iterations. There is nothing indicating that einstein was good at the latter

Nobody is smarter than a FANG engineer. I can imagine a 22 year old kid looking at Einsteinโ€™s solutions and thinking โ€œnah not good enoughโ€.

Einstein would never waste his efforts on leetcode. Truly brilliant people don't code

He would be significantly brighter so he would fail as the average FANGER is likely too stupid to get his genius. If they got it then there is also a high chance that he would be rejected cause hiring somebody significantly smarter than you is hard for many ultra competitive motherfuckers who want to look like the brightest stars and play around with politics to get the next promotion ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

This is a really awesome question but the last option needs to be changed. He was significantly brighter than the average fanger. Just because he doesn't know c++ because he wasn't around for it doesn't measure his intelligence.
