    Rise? No.
But there are attempts to build a new one, with blackjack and AOC, on North American continent.

Seriously, leftovers of communist party in Russia are more pragmatic than American Democrats and especially so called progressives.

It will be United Soviet America.
And Sanders will cosplay Brezhnev. Though Sanders already older.

Right, so a country run by s-called socialists that want guaranteed basic rights for everyone is bad. But one that’s run a by an incompetent, narcissistic pathological liar is better?

Practice shows that the US presidents change in 4, max 8 years even if they have orange hair and another pathological liar failed to rig the elections.
Socialists, on the other hand, stick to the power until they destroy the country.

The time for dictatorships has passed. I'm waiting for a Russian Spring.

There are dictatorships in disguise all over the world. The time has not passed.

Of course, there's always going to be a spectrum of freedom. North Korea and China are both communist states yet the civil freedom and standard of living are very different.

I think tyranny and dictatorship are obsolete and people realize that as they get access to information. I've seen people struggling to gain more freedom but I don't know any country where people what less freedom.

The Soviet Union still had a transformation it needs to go through before it can become a modern state that can quickly react to changes. Right now power is too centralized which makes it difficult to respond to changes demanded by shifting technology and and market changes. Countries like India and China will have the lime light pretty soon while Russia plays catch up with the rest of the world. They're bleeding too much money during this time and at some point will have to spend time recuperating.
