Talking about $35k model. Turns out I'm not eligible for CA tax rebate.

If yes, then why (free charging in bay area, status, etc)?

If no, then why not?

I live in an apartment with only 1 charging station in the garage. I don't have all day to sit on my hands while it charges for 40 minutes at the Tesla stations

I'll wait for when charging times are below 10 minutes

It hasn't even been rolled out to any charging stations... let alone the entire network.

Cool your jets. I'll buy one when it gets rolled out near me and the areas I visit a lot

Hell no. I’m not paying 40k for a shot box with panel gaps, bumpers falling off, wheels falling of pile of junk that has a flammable battery surrounded by flammable coolant.

Who would pay 35k to not have autopilot? That thing isn’t going to sell.

I like mine. Not a fan of the $35k version's non premium interior though. Better to shell out the extra money for long range and auto pilot.

Have you used autopilot with pure trust in it, without paying any attention to the traffic? May be watched a movie while you’re in autopilot?

No that's not how it works. There's a lot of misconception about this, which we can probably blame Elon for.

Autopilot is a bunch of driver assist features, like auto steer, adaptive cruise control, lane change, parking. It ia different from full self driving, which supposedly will come later this year.

Autopilot is nice for long freeway commutes, where it will do most things for you, but still requires you to pay attention.

No, coz I don’t want to think charging if I’m going on a road trip. Gas stations are so convenient.

If you are in the market for an EV then model 3 is an obvious choice.

Would I like one? Sure. But that’s more of a third vehicle for me.
