honestly I'm glad I have an older 13" MBP and an XPS 15 as backup options. Even if you have an older model MBP or a good battery, will you risk the hassle ?

The TSA agents haven’t been notified yet, they’re still looking for water filled bottles.

Well I mean... It's still shit hardware and has a touchbar so "ok" isn't the word I'd use to describe it, but no, I don't think it's a banned model as it isn't yet known to spontaneously combust

Just curious, do you travel with a sffpc? I moved years ago to Thinkpads as my primary workstation just because I travel so much; taking any kind of desktop and display, keyboard, mouse, etc is just too burdensome

Yes I travel. It’s small enough, fits in my backpack. Best decision I ever made

I have an Anne Pro 2, G Pro, powerbeats Pro that I always bring with me, and a Chinese 17” 4K monitor that I sometimes I travel with.

They were looking for them in Australia when I flew out a few days back and actually checking all Macs they saw. They're not really tech folks so they don't know what to look for.

My MBP is impacted by the battery issue. I’ll get it replaced it, but I’ll start bringing my backup Thinkpad x230 on flights to avoid potential hassles at the airport.
