Wireless speakers for use with AV receiver

I can't find an elegant solution for this, so I thought I'd ask. I have a wired 5.1 speaker setup with a great Yamaha receiver. Because of my destructive toddler, the system cannot stay unless I can find a way to remove the wired connections to the speakers from the receiver. I don't want to get a stupid soundbar. Any suggestions? Please don't recommend overpriced and underpowered Sonos.

Run the wires in wall or under carpet? Or get cord cover raceways/conduits

Ya, you need to do creative wiring. I had a similar situation and the options to turn wired good speakers into wireless are just not good and will not meet the performance expectations you will be happy with. Good speakers need power and alignment

Wireless powered amps per speaker are difficult to find. I’d go with https://www.homedepot.com/p/Wiremold-Legrand-Cordmate-II-White-Cord-Cover-Kit-C210/202264878

Wait about 4 years, or smack 'em every time they touch your equipment.

Wireless speakers do not work yet .. you might notice up to a full second of lag when watching movies - not worth it. Listening to music is ok.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like wireless speakers on a receiver isn't a solution. I'll have to try and get some conduits going. They'll look hella ugly on tiled floor though

Wtf route your wires through the walls like an adult

Intel aryaa OP May 5, 2019

The problem is the last "2 feet” from the wall/baseboard. Magnet for my stupid toddler

Can you put them up on shelves ?

Look on Amazon for flat wires that you can stick to the wall and floors but you might have to improvise at each end for the connector.
