I am considering an offer from Qualtrics as a senior engineer. Just wanted to know how the wlb and benefits have been since the SAP acquisition. Also has there been a lot of attrition in engineering since the acquisition? Thanks in advance
Nice offer. Congrats! Location? How was interview process and difficulty?
Thanks. It's for the Seattle office. The coding interview was not so hard but the design rounds were tough.
Solid offer, pretty similar to mine. How many YOE? Which team? I can't comment on WLB yet since I start in about a week :)
It depends on your team. It's pretty good imo. Reasonable opportunity to WFH if you need to, PTO requests have never been an issue, and it's also been not a big deal if I needed an extra day or two to take those as well. I leave early if I have appointments, as long as I'm going to my scheduled meetings and performing fine, no one really cares. ymmv, and maybe I'm not getting as high of ratings and such because of it all, that's very possible I suppose.. but I have a really nice WLB here and have been told repeatedly by managers to work the hours that are best for me, and take the time I need for things.
Thanks for the detailed answer. One follow up: is the bonus stack ranked? How often do you see ppl getting a zero bonus? Thank you
They’ll say it’s not but it is. They just don’t want to call it that. Zero bonus is uncommon but can happen if you move teams with a vindictive manager or you’re doing shitty
WLB is really good. As always it is team dependent and some teams do have some carryover from Amazon due to all the transplants from there. That said, the culture here is very focused on WLB so the baseline will be pretty good, with some teams being excellent. I’ve been able to get EE ratings (exceeds) while still keeping very reasonable hours.
Wlb is good for most people. Lots of people get in 10-11 and leave not too late 530-630. Obv end of quarter can be a bit busier depending on meeting your goals but rest and vest to some degree is possible here
That pay is not ideal. I know many making more as a l4 at other company
Show me one company that will pay a L4 more.
My other offer was as an L5 @ amzn and I got their above band offer, which was about 20k less than Qualtrics if I average the Qualtrics offer over 4 years. For the first 3 years, I doubt anyone except fb or goog would beat the Q offer as an sde2 .. but very curious to know if there are any
Dm pls
Whats the TC?
190k base, 30k signon, 235k stocks, 5% level bonus and 10% target bonus
So what is the TC?
