Hi, I interviewed for a Principal Engineer position and got down leveled to L4 and the offer is as follows: 200K Base and 45K stock. The recruiter didn’t mention sign on and initial RSU grant. I have said that it’s below my current TC and if he will increase TC to $320K I will think about it and let him know. He is going to come back in a day after talking to the team. Around 15 yrs of experience and $270K TC. Any advice from folks experienced in similar situations appreciated :) Thanks
Why do you want to join Workday? I bet you will only get token increases in Base + RSUs.
Hmmm

They won’t give you 320. The max will be around 280. Usually they have a range +10-15% of initial offer.
45k stock is kidding. Are you sure its 45k? Is it RSU? Typical p4s get 140k to 250k stocks easily depending on experience. Good base for p4. That's top end.
I meant rsu. $45k rsu per year. Sorry about not being clear.
What does a typical new hire compensation structure look like at workday? What are the components I mean?
@hulk it's against company policy to publicly disclose details of the PSUs...
