Chances of meta clearing E5 with screwing up one coding one round and acing all other
They have an unhealthy obsession with UML since their proprietary language Xpresso isn’t really a programming language. Expect half of your interview to be drawing UML diagrams and explaining OOP concepts. For example: design a zoo or a parking lot. 1/4 will be coding basic things with strings, arrays, lists, maybe some trees, but it’s all straightforward and nothing complicated. Think leetcode easy problems. The last 1/4 will be behavioral questions with the hiring manager. Even though it’s an SDE role and not Application Developer, they still claim you’ll be using Xpresso 50-60% of the time. If you love the team and work, go for it. But you won’t learn any marketable skills to put on your resume.
Not true depends on the team .
Of course it’s always team dependent but that was my experience, and I interviewed 3 times for 2 different teams. It was more or less the same for both.
