It's impossible in the technical sense, a Facebook account is required for a lot of internal company pages. Like some of the new hire paperwork goes though facebook.com for example. Now, they really don't seem to care if you actually use Facebook or not when interviewing.
I didn't have an account. After interviewing, I thought why would I want to work there then so I went to G instead.
No Google+!?
What happened to the separate @Work account option?
Why would you ever want to work for someone whose product you don’t use?
Cocaine lords don’t actually use their cocaine
Have you seen scarface?
Doesn’t Facebook internally use Facebook (but non prod version)??
Tons, unless its changed in 2 1/2 years. Messenger and groups were pretty much the main ways we communicated internally. Plus pretty much all their internal tools were tied to the FB account rather than active directory. I'm sure there were exceptions but I can't think of any. There was an option to use a separate work account. I think it was essentially the internal beta for what's now the "Workplace by Facebook" product but I could be wrong about that as it was still private when I left and I'm pretty sure workplace released after.
I can’t imagine using group.... the interface is horrible. Yeah but I think way before workplace though?
Just create a new account and don't post anything. What's the big deal? Also why work where you don't want to use the product?
I’m more curious how common it is. A number of people work for Amazon Prime programs and don’t have Prime. It’s different but similar enough to warrant the question.
You log into internal system using Facebook. No way around it.
