I have a pending offer with a series D startup on the table, and an on-site interview next week with LinkedIn (CSM role). I really like the current offer and the startup seems like a great culture fit for me. What are advantages working for LinkedIn? Would I be a fool to not accept an offer from LinkedIn regardless of culture fit?
LinkedIn’s product is inherently flawed. LinkedIn is only valuable because it has a large network of professionals. It then sells services to sales and recruiters to contact these professionals (most people don’t like getting sales/recruiter messages). So in order to keep its network happy it can’t make its sales and recruiting services “too good” because then the professionals would get annoyed by constant linkedin spam, resulting in them leaving the network making it less valuable for sales/recruiting And this was said by Reid Hoffman, cofounder of linkedin With that said, I’ve heard LinkedIn pays well and and has pretty decent culture
Shouldn't you be worried about this if your on-site goes well with LinkedIn and you get an offer? Any case, good luck for your interview! :)
OP give your interview first and concentrate on it and then lets dicuss
