A recruiter reached out for a Sales Eng. position within Oracle's Data Cloud, and I think I'll run with it. Speaking to a friend, the culture at ODC has a better rep than at Oracle as a whole. Can anyone support this? Things you wish you knew if you're there now?
Where is the position ? Colorado - š New York (moat) - safe for now. West coast - it's a ticking time bomb. Don't get involved in the BlueKai/AddThis product suites. Both will likely be killed off soon. The business is dying. Datalogix and Moat doing well for now.

I would recommend that you stay away, unless you are desperate. Also ask them what products you will be focussing on. If it's the DMP business, that's a mess, business is dying. BlueKai was a market leader in the space, but after acquisition things fell apart and it lost major accounts. The sales pressure could be significant in this area. If it's more aligned with Datalogix or Moat, then that sounds better.
The moat people still have their own office and systems. We seem to be leaving them alone for now. Reminds me of Eloqua. They stayed out on their own for a while. You'll have Oracle contracting to deal with but other than that most likely won't feel like Big Red. Blue Kai and DataLogix are fully Big Red. Now
