Working on receipt after RFE

Sorry for the long post. But I'm in a very critical decision making process. I have an offer from one of the FANG companies. I received an RFE 1 and half months ago. The lawyers are expecting to send a response in another 3 weeks. I know it's very risky to start working on receipt in this political climate. So I had waited so long. I mentally checked out from my current job. I have a pretty good work record so I thought I won't get into trouble for slacking a little bit. But now people have started re-assessing about the project that my team is working on and speculating if I should be moved to a different project that is of more value. The assessment could just be about the project's value and not my performance in general. But I get this feeling that they might have noticed about my slacking too . I'm worried that I might be let go. I don't want that to happen. So I'm thinking of giving the 2 weeks notice soon and start working at my new job on receipt and take the risk of getting a denial. Any advice would help

Don't worry , don't join on receipt with rfe, they won't revoke your h-1b even they let you go and you can go work for New company. Do talk to attorney on let go scenario, you should be fine , I'm not attorney

The company is required to give a notice to USCIS when the employee quits or if they let them go. I don't feel talking to the lawyers about this yet. I'm trying to get a basic picture before making the decision to go to the lawyers

There is a difference between revoke and any such notice.

Focus on your current project and don't quit. Working on receipt with rfe it's risky
