Hey all. I am in need if a side gig to pay the rent.. I am going broke putting myself through school. Does anyone have any suggestions?Should I get sql certified by msft or some kind of c++ cert?
Any advice is appreciated.

I am in Irvine Ca by the way.

Thanks!

Cool. Lc is a good start.
      Internship is ur best option.

But if u really want to earn side money programming maybe u can look at freelancer or elancer.
Don’t know how much it will pay but someone else who’s used it can comment.

Sorry didn’t see the MC part. It’s a little too expensive here to live off that pay

Definitely not lazy. Currently do Redfin whenever I have time off and it pays about 60 an hour but it’s just not enough. Cost of living is like 60 here. I can keep this up but I was hoping there might be some way to use my programming ability

It might be. I wouldn’t rule it out. Seen websites that took a junior eng a week to make go for 10K.

Don't bother getting a cert. Waste of time and money for a dev.

Haven’t personally done this as I was on a student visa so wasn’t allowed to work outside of my on-campus job, but have read some success stories by Wordpress developers, or in general any freelance web development. Try landing gigs with local businesses perhaps.

But yeah an internship out West is a great way to earn money.
