Why do you want to buy a used Tesla?
If the price is right, why not? It is just a car, no? I'm thinking if you can get a clean one for $10k...
You could get 150k miles out of a low mileage Lexus or Toyota for 10k. The swag factor isnāt comparable of course. But buying a Tesla from that era is like buying an iPhone 4G. I donāt even wanna know the mileage on a 10k Tesla. Iād be petrified putting money into an EV with more than like 40-50k miles.
Eh, probably not a high mileage one. You buy a Tesla for their cutting edge tech not their long term reliability. Better off with a new barebones Model 3 since you can always upgrade packages/get updates later on.
No, they are very expensive to maintain, also during maintenance downtime can easily become few weeks
This is an honest question, but I thought they were advertised as super easy to maintain. What sorts of expenses do they rack up?
No I would discourage against it. They are notorious in long term build reliability and it's going to be out of pocket after the eight year warranty. And you have no aftermarket support to fix that. So steer away and get a Lexus instead.
Used Model S probably has unlimited supercharging and the insanely good warranty.
No. 2017 tech and up. Tech is forward compatible.

Nopes. Too old a model with an outdated CPU and not having any of the latest autopilot hardware. If you are buying solely for driving and saving money on gas, go for it. The best part about Tesla is all the updates you get. There would be hardly any updates for the old cars
