My wife and are having this argument. Say you meet this cool chick, cute face and all but she 180lbs for 5'6. Would you date her long term? My wife argues that most guys would, and I say that most guys won't. What says blind?
Lol because thereâs no way there are any women on this app
FYI.....There are women on this app
There are definitely women on the app and we face conversations like this on the app and in real life daily. All kinds of ridiculous.
I will decide after looking at her ..no all plus size look same
This guy dates!
Youâre asking a group of people where 90% of them have never even talked to a woman.
Even beggars can be choosers đ
HAHAHA!
That's almost obese. No thanks, I'll pass.
No. I wouldn't date someone long-term without the intention of staying with them long-term, i.e. marriage. While I think it's up to the individual how much they want to care about their own weight, what you're describing is unhealthy and unsustainable on the scale of "rest of my life". I just couldn't seriously date someone I'd have doubts would be around when I turn 60, 70, 80, etc. Even if right now I find them attractive and enjoyable. I'd probably try to encourage them to live healthier, and if that failed, I would move on. I've had to do the same with smokers. I know what it's like losing close family to cancer, I won't risk that again if I have the choice.
Agreed. Plenty of really cute, not skinny, girls out there. But obesity is and. I donât want to be married to someone thatâs going to have heart problems the rest of their life.
Your wife is right.
I met an incredible woman: funny, smart, gregarious, etc. I was so happy with her. She was also overweight. We dated and had so many great adventures but we couldnât do anything very active and it was always uncomfortable/awkward when body issues / insecurity came up (e.g. not willing to hot tub with friends , usually wonât let me see her naked) and so I broke it off. I think youâre right that most guys wouldnât consider it.
You really liked her it seems. Could you have tried to work with her on some lifestyle changes?
@annon: Forcing change on people doesnât work. If she wanted to change she would seeing how her lifestyle interferes with @E12âs. It was clearly more important for her to have him adapt his lifestyle to hers instead, despite it being obviously less healthy.
It's hard to have a romantic relationship for most people if there isn't physical attraction. If he likes them a little thicc, (and she's also attracted to him) then it'll work. Otherwise, they can be great friends.
