Would you join Uber right now if: 1) you were not at a top tier tech company (let’s just call top tier fb, google, amazon, apple, Netflix, Airbnb, lyft, any other company you view as a top company) 2) offer was not a significant pay bump (<10% tc increase)
So I’d get more money and higher tier company? Why the hell not?
I said not significantly more. <10% is hardly something that should move a needle at all. And the question is really is Uber still a high tier company given instability layoffs and financial reports
Lol lyft is not top
This isn’t about dick waving. It’s about if you were st some small medium company or tier 3 company would you still go to uber. Plenty of people would be choosing lyft over Uber right now. And as far as I can tell lyft pays top market.
This. Lyft never paid top tier, neither does Apple or amazon
I wouldn't switch job for less than 10% salary bump.
It was nice when we were the hottest place in this valley 😎
Uber is funky nowadays. I’d wait till these lay-off rumors materialize or die.
Oh proportion of “Yes” is still not terribly lower...🥺
10% is not enough buffer for Uber stock's downside. Not saying money is everything but you'll be pissed if your TC is less than your old job due to stock price.
I wouldn’t go anywhere for a 10% bump. Why should I take the risk?
Curious what you’re thinking. I also got a job offer from Uber (non tech) and am curious. Although my TC increase would be more like 20%. I’m leaning towards accepting
Moviepass for cars is always a good idea
I don’t really get this analogy at all. It’s not even remotely close, so I’ll just assume it’s just a running joke
Yeah math is hard https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/16/technology/moviepass-economy-startups.html
