I’m an engg in Bangalore in the ~$100k TC range. There aren’t many opportunities to financially grow in India at an 5-10 YoE. (my exp is 8 yrs) I'm enticed with some of the amazong TCs I see here on Blind. How would you approach moving to the US today? Is it worth it? Note: I’m happy with my job, just wanted perspectives.
You make $100k in Bangalore? I'd stay there if I was making that money!
With $100k tc in India you can live like a king. Why do you still need to go outside and save money? Anyways for USA getting h1 is difficult as it’s based on lottery. But you can get lucky. Or you can try for l1 visa.

The equivalent TC here taking into consideration PPP would be $350K. Good luck getting that with 5 YoE.
350 too less. I would say 500k

Read the concept of purchasing power parity. If the sole reason you want to move is higher TC, 100K in Bangalore will translate to at least 500K in Bay Area and no one is going to pay you 500K. So stick to Bangalore
Who makes million every year ? Very few actually save 100K a year. Sigh. Life here is overrated - I would move in a blink if kids were not in high school.
