Yahoo/Oath recruiter ghosting

Is it common with Yahoo/Oath recruiters to keep ghosting candidates? This is happening to me second time, where in I was contacted by a recruiter, scheduled a phone interview, interview went very well and never heard back from the recruiter inspite of emailing them. Does recruiters feel somewhat satisfied after playing around with candidates like this?

Would not recommend joining Oath right now.

That’s unfortunate... which organization inside Yahoo was that?

This company still exists?

Why are you particularly interested in Yahoo? Also who's your recruiter (feel free to DM)

For anonymity I choose not to comment/dm recruiter name or org. Thanks for your concern. Last time this happened, that recruiter left Yahoo. I'm assuming this time it's the same situation.

Don't let our TA org be a turnoff - there are lots of us as hiring managers who'd be happy to directly work with you. If you feel comfortable, contact me and I can try to get more info (esp if it was ad products).

Our entire TA group are contractors that we're getting rid of. Run away.

As I heard, there's a hiring freeze going on.

Yahoo blind-yaho Nov 21, 2019

I heard the same, it’s likely the recruiter was told by their boss to just stay in a holding pattern until headcount is determined after Q4. Not sure what your timeline is but if you have others offers I wouldn’t hold your breath to hear back from VM.

Check to make sure the company is still there.
