Sounds like a douche
Major douche alert.
Yeah because ride hailing companies aren’t 100% competitor focused..... tf is he smoking 🙄🙄🙄
Well Uber is not. We have some competitor focus, but most of the company is innovating from first principles.
He's trying to plug his startup he's working on. Douche
Spot on. I left google a few years ago and it absolutely was already a has-been when I left. I don’t know why anyone would want to join google these days.
Google is Microsoft 2.0. I love working at Microsoft. Sounds like I should try at Google, as Microsoft is now changing rapidly..
*writes long-winded whiny rant about former company ripping off competitors* *joins me-too Uber ripoff*
I worked at Grab before I joined Google and he has no fucking idea what he’ll be dealing with 😂 Pretty sure he’ll miss Google politics, Google innovation and Google competitor-focus in a week
Also.. he's under the guy who created a company that resulted in the employees becoming Microsoft employees. So... sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side. And I work on innovative infrastructure at Google. Used to work on food delivery businesses before Google. Margin is low and the work isn't fun. I work at Google because overall it's better than most other companies. Just have to do good work, transfer to the right groups at the right time. And it's a small world here so do good work and don't piss people off so you can transfer to the right team.
Yes. Grab has engineering wide “stretch” goal of keeping attrition below 25%
I was hoping to see some juicy observations or insights but it just read like the opinions of some standard bitter former employee. Also a douche thing to do to the company you worked for that long.
Same thoughts
I thought it was quite interesting and some views I even agree with. Why is it douchey? Is the mothership that sacrosanct?
