Note that there’s a difference between getting impeached and getting convicted. The House can vote to impeach with a simple majority - all this means is they are going to bring the President to trial in the Senate. If the vote passes in the House, there’s a trial in the Senate, and a 2/3 majority is needed to convict. Only after conviction is the President removed from office. I’d be shocked if the House did not vote to impeach (233 dems/197 repubs/5 other). I would be even more shocked if the Senate votes to convict (45 dems/53 repubs/2 other). We’re basically guaranteed Trump will be impeached, and it’s basically impossible he’ll be convicted and removed from office.
I doubt he'll even be impeached. This is just preening before an election. If T is actually impeached, then the process is controlled by R in the Senate, and none of these witnesses they are calling can be used since they are hearsay and don't meet the standard for courtroom testimony. They are getting called thought because the ones that do meet the criteria would tell a different story. Actually impeaching T would be political suicide for D and they know it. This is just flash and show, and it's not even interesting or credible. (I heard such and such, WTF dude that's not testimony)
That is an interesting distinction, I thought the impeach process included both the senate and house votes. That said, the spirit of the poll is not so much on whether it will happen, but on whether you consider it should.
House votes to impeach, but that's meaningless unless the Senate votes to convict. For example Clinton was impeached but the Senate did not convict (Clinton cleverly avoided perjury charges via a technicality he was aware of) .
If the Dems can manage to make a convincing case (ie make the process bipartisan), then I’m down. If there are Dems that vote with republicans against it (as was previously the case), then it comes off entirely partisan, which impeachment should never be.
American - Don't care.
He can literally single handedly start the recession with a tweet
Wait what tweet is that
How the f is blind majority American? I have maybe 5% American co-workers. Most "Americans" seem to self apply that term rather liberally.
I think a better explanation is that most foreigners don’t participate in politics
American here. At this point, just get him out of the office. I don’t even hate the guy but he’s causing too much of a divide in the country.
You think the MSM should choose who can be president by holding news coverage hostage.

I’m a Mexican expat, so I’m used to political systems with zero accountability.
