Your TC in comparison with your significant other's...?

It doesn't have to be accurate just find the option that more or less falls in the ballpark of your situation.

Most votes indicate some gold digger phenomenon going on 🤔

The issue is many people here are on h1b and their wives don’t get to work. Most of them. So only one person is earning money. Sometimes the spouse even on h4EAD are not techies. So they do odd or relatively less paying jobs.

This is not about male domination.

@glass you ain't mistaken, there's a huge gold digging phenomenon at play here. Mostly originating from the country blamed for gobbling up most of the h1b visas.

H1b people earn money by working here and offering technological advancement in return. Unlike offering democracy and digging oil

OP should add an option “Wife earns less due to visa issues”

Regardless, this could also indicate gold digging phenomena- she did choose voluntarily to get supported by the 10x pay of her husband. Why? Because love is blind? Yeah I don’t buy that argument at such a large scale.

Also, @TfDf00- sure but we’re talking statistically significant numbers here. We can discuss exceptions later.

"Love is blind" lol sure...for someone who came in through a matrimonial site and who was approved solely on the basis of TC and location...as I said, your original instincts weren't off.

Well I come from a matriarchal society where I like my man being a home maker :)

Well would you like him to deliver the baby too if you decide to have one ? 😆

Well delivering baby has nothing to do with man being a home maker or not. Ants and elephants have many offspring and be the queen of a herd at the same time. But with the advanced medical technology if we can make babies outside of a woman's body I'll take that 😏

She works harder than me, most toughest customer base than any industry, works longer hours and pays job expenses from her own pocket. She makes 6 times less than me. But you all make so much money because of her. SHE IS A MATH TEACHER

This poll is sexist, why are the options not the same for men and women? It has too many options while at the same time having too few.

The issue is that your poll assumes that there are only 2 genders

You didn’t include any qualifiers for non-tech salaries. My SO is non-tech and thus salaries are often starkly different.
