There are plenty of people dreaming about doing bold, visionary stuff at Oracle. The company has a rich history of showcasing imaginative vaporware. Much of it looks awesome, too. The problem is that many people there aren’t interested in the gritty details of making it happen.
Sometimes I’m tempted to loop with every company that contacts me just to see if at least 2 people will say something about how they “work like a startup.” I say “2 people” because it’s a given that at least 1 person will for sure say that. Even Oracle had 2 people who said that.
