There's plenty of libertarian and conservative content on youtube

Google reported profit during last recession. One of the ways they earned more money was by increasing ads. May be Google already knows the recession is up? Google and Amazon were the only major players who could show profits.
This is a fallacy. Increasing ad density increases opportunities for ads. Someone's gotta be on the other side willing to pay to show those ads. In a recession when people cut marketing spend, you can increase ads but if nobody is willing to pay for ads, then you don't get any extra revenue
