So I'm a new grad and I have an offer from company A that expires very soon (asked for an extension but didn't get one). Recently, my google recruiter told me I passed the HC, and I did my product area survey, so I'm just waiting for an offer from google which probably won't come until after the company A's deadline. Should I accept company A's offer and then renege once I get the Google offer? What do I tell my recruiter since they know when company A's offer expires?
Is A's offer good? Do you like to work for A? If Google is likely going to beat it, then wait. Otherwise accept. In my experience, the deadlines they throw at you are pretty arbitrary and they would be happy to have you even after their said deadline unless if they fill the position or extend offer to another candidate.
A's offers good but I would prefer to work for Google and they will most likely beat it. I guess I'm just worried of the possibility of me declining company A's offer and then Google not coming through with their offer (rare but it's happened apparently).
It's very rare. All I can say.
Accept Company A’s offer and then use the offer to negotiate more with Google. I did the same thing when I graduated
