I accepted an offer in Bay Are recently with TC - 144k, 3.5k SignOn and 15k in stock. My h1B visa got approved from that company and I gave my 2 weeks notice at the current job in Pittsburgh PA (remote position)and they matched the Pay and told me I can work from Bay Area. I’m currently confused if I should stay back or move to the new Company. I recently got a promotion in this company. Any suggestions?
Which project is more interesting? If no preference, which team has more people that can mentor or teach you stuff? If no difference, which company has more renown? If no difference, take the PA one, because they probably have you in a much more senior position there. It's alot more to pay for someone for a business operating out of PA, especially if that person doesn't have to come into the office.
If you’re ok with the offer, go for it. Never go for a counter proposal. Unless you’re netflix employee.
What is the Bay Area company? Are u currently in PA or Bay Area?
Tell the new company that the offer has been matched, ask them to raise their offer...
144k is kinda low.
Yes. I accepted it cause, I have to move and thought I can search for another opportunity after I move to Bay Area.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?

Is it even worth for me to jump to a new job with higher TC?

Avoid teams with only Chinese or Indians especially with a Chinese/Indian manager
144k in Pittsburgh is like 350k in the bay area...
I agree. But I have to move to Bay Area. I’m not sure if I should accept this match or just ignore and move to the new job
Ahh. In that case weigh everything else. What would the commute be to the new company? Is the work the same or would you be learning better tech at the new place? Is your current team good to work with? Work life balance at both, etc.
