My h1b got approved this year and i was planning to go back to my home country(India) for my visa stamping later this year. i was wondering if any of you had any experience regarding stamping after a company has had layoffs? is there a possibility that the consulate may reject my visa stamping? or will i face any other problems? would you suggest not travelling at this time (if so how long?) or should i proceed?
If you think of not traveling when on H1b for such reasons and if you are an Indian, then you will have to not travel for rest of your life! So chill and don’t bother about lay-offs
If you are not impacted by lay-off why fear for stamping ?
Naah
Cap1 had a massive layoff and I went right after that for stamping. It went fine. Good luck.

Consulate can reject or delay stamping even without layoffs. I don’t think layoffs affects your changes of getting H1B stamped since you have an approved H1B.
