i applied for a position in the U.S but my recruiter is telling me they want me in Italy. i never been to italy or speak any other language than french. or have any work authorization for italy im beyond confused i am a U.S citizen living in the U.S
Where is your citizenship? Are you currently authorized to work in the USA?
US citizen living in the US
Did you ask why?
Role?
Ya what role? USA has most jobs. India has a lot too. Not sure why they want USA citizen in Italy. It’s very odd. Is that temporary? Or you are opening some project there for amazon?
It’s a permanent role
What’s your job title ?
From my understanding Italy is very permissive with their citizenship. If you have any Italian ancestry you might actually be able to get citizenship without having even been there before. (Citizenship by blood)
Go for it, have some fun, travel the world :)
lol if you want to move to Italy permanently, then sure... but there’s a lot of geopolitical risk. Did you put “willing to relocate” on your application?
