amazon business - account rep or customer advisor?

AB is hiring a lot, and I’ve been interviewing for an account rep position on the govt smb team, but just saw an opening called Customer Advisor for enterprise sales. they have almost identical job descriptions but different titles. is one team better to work on than the other? in terms of - pay (total comp and bonus structure?) - growth opportunity - culture - sales expectations - levels i want a true sales role with earning potential $250k-$300k TC - hard to tell if AB will fit that and if this account rep job is too junior.

I'm interested as well. I'm having a call with the hiring manager for an account rep role later today too

Id stay away from AB as a sales. The org is all about empire building, Jmaul the head of US sales is running that place into the ground, people go there to manipulate data, get leveled and move out or get fired. Horrible culture with toxic politics.

Thank you for the info. I def have a weird feeling about it - they told me the comp is base salary, RSUs and a “sign on payment” which is annualized over 2 years. There’s no commission aspect. I don’t understand how that could be a successful sales incentive or structure. What do you mean by “empire building”?

@iSjz65 - any thoughts on 3rd party marketplace? going into loop with them this week.

Most sales roles at AB are Customer Advisors on the buy-side. Account rep is the internal job title. Same thing. You’re correct no commission as it doesn’t fit the business model at this time. I wouldn’t believe the negative feedback, must be someone on PIP or got passed on promo. The Sales org at AB is actually great with a high value on team performance and customers.
